Where's Kavin?

I had these random photos of my grandson, taken over three years and in different places,
and I decided to put them all together in a two-page spread. The Where's Waldo? books were popular and it seemed like the perfect fit. I had just watched a video about using alphabet stamps as a background, so I did that and put his name in there. I kept the rest of it simple.

Racing

A two-page spread remembering when my grandson, his brother and his friends used to
race ATV's at our local Fairgrounds. He even made the newspaper!

Shine

I made this card using the Faux Metal Embellishments technique
taught by Kristina Werner in Online Card Classes' StampHappy class.
In this method you create layers (I used 5) of heat embossed metallic powder
and then stamp into it while it's still warm. It's quite beautiful.

Relax

Another layout for my grandson's album.
This is the third of four layouts about a family trip
we took to Maui in March of 2006.
I kept it simple as the other three layouts have a lot of photos or embellishments in them.

I was inspired by Altenew's Inspiration Challenge for April.
I used the colors (loosely) and the idea of travel (from the map).

I made the strip behind the photo with distress oxide inks on Altenew's Elegant Swirls stencil.
Then I stamped the grass, palm tree, and birds from Altenew's Gradient Sunset stamps.
The title and other words on the page are from that same set.

2004

A clean and simple layout for my grandson.
The story here is mostly about him and my dog.
The XO strip at the bottom is the one you usually cut off,
but instead I cut the paper at the top so I could save the strip.

Happy Birthday!

A friend has a birthday this month, and here's her card!

I like this design (it's a cut file) and will use it again.

Wedding Cards

A friend asked me to make a wedding card for her, so I made three! I didn't have any on hand, so this was to my advantage, as well as giving her a choice. Which one would you choose?

I just love the art deco die cut from Hero Arts.

She chose this one, as the bride is a birder!
My personal favorite is the first.

Gone Fishing - Summer 2018

My son and oldest grandson have gone commercial salmon fishing
in Bristol Bay for the last two summers.
I had lots of fun documenting their adventures!
