Tis the Season

It's not every day that Santa comes to my house - in fact, this was the one and only time!
It was my daughter-in-law's father - shhh... don't tell the kids!

What a Lovely Day

On a beautiful summer day, while his brothers played croquet and Mom
picked rhubarb, he was happy to play in the grass.

3 Years 4 Months of Service

The second page of a two-page layout honoring my father's service in WWII.
The first (shown below) featured excepts from his war journal.
This one features photos, his draft card, and a list of his unit's
deployments that he wrote on the back of a letter pouch,
along with a map.
The background color is way off - bad lighting.
It's really the same brown-grey as the one below.

Keep Calm and Mow the Lawn

Just another page for my grandson's album - I'm almost caught up! My son's three boys have mowed my lawn for years; the youngest went commercial fishing this summer, so Garritt "came back in service," in between working full time and football practice. What a great kid!

Kodiak Strong

We all went a little rainbow crazy back in March and soon our town was
ablaze with all the pretty colors! And they're all still there!
Of course mine had to be a paper craft, so all of the die cut
hearts are on the inside of the window.

both of my children and their families were here.

Cows and Cowboys

My grandson and his buddies at school last Halloween.
Good to know they can be 15 and still feel like kids!

Love this Graphic 45 Magic of Oz collection.

What to Wear

A page for my granddaughter's album. She's the only girl out of five grands,
so it's fun to watch her grow and change. She just turned 12.
Some days she's quite the fashionista, but most days it's leggings and a t-shirt.

Most materials from PinkFresh's Let Your Heart Decide collection.

Do Your Best

My youngest grandson recently completed his Kata (martial arts) yellow belt test.
It had to be done at home, by video, due to Covid-19.

Papercrafting

I made this page in response to a prompt that asked, "What is something
you do that is different from others around you?

All materials are from the Photoplay collection You Had Me at Paper.

Together - a note to Grandma

I have saved many drawings and notes from my grandchildren for years;
a few of them are really precious, such as this one. He wrote this with
his teacher while in kindergarten. I'm not sure what it is he wanted to
play - do you think that says "tag"?

Family Reunion/Explore

This two-page spread highlights a family reunion we had in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, in the summer of 2012. After spending 4 days with the whole family in the big cabin, we rented our own smaller cabin up in the hills for a week. So much fun!

my HERO

This is a simple and somber layout honoring my dad's service in World War II.
After he passed away my sister found a journal he kept during the war;
she has the original, but she typed up a copy for me.
These are excepts from the journal, with a complete copy included
in the Heritage albums for my kids.
The facing page will contain photos from his wartime service.

What's in a Name?

This is a layout for Heritage albums that I'm making for my kids.
Journaling will come later, but the story is about my mom's and sister's names.

Most of the materials are from BoBunny's Heritage collection -
I sure wish it were still available!

Transform Into 6

A very simple layout for my grandson's "Transformers" birthday.

Frog Party

Another fun page for my grandson's album!
This one goes with another blue page with horizontal stripes.
Was really glad I saved those shiny frog stickers!
